Biography:

Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Glenwood, Minnesota Garth graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 1998 with degrees in political science and speech communication. With undergraduate degrees like that, Garth was prepared for only one thing; law school. Luckily, that was the plan and Garth received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001. In his first few years out of law school Garth worked as a litigator at a St. Paul law firm. Admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 2001 and Federal District Court in 2002, Garth is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Ramsey and Hennepin County Bar Associations.

Garth has been recognized as a Rising Star in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009. In 2004 and 2005 Garth was part of the Leadership St. Paul Program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Garth is a resident of St. Paul and enjoys hunting and water sports in his free time.
